HART PARK

Area Description

A long time OC glue up area in Hart Park of Santa Ana. *Reportedly* there's some aid practice a short walk west down the riverbed from the Glassell Street bridge.

Directions

Exit 22 Freeway at Glassell Street. Head north. Turn right into Hart Park. There's a good glue up traverse that goes along the retaining wall along the road on the north side of the wash. Under the Glassell Street bridge is more, but lower in quality. Continue down the wash to the west for the aid lines. *(If someone goes down here, send us better info and photos if you can. Email us for submission details.)

COSTA MESA

Area Description

Another man-made area in the flatlands of Costa Mesa. Where the 405 Freeway crosses the Santa Ana river bed, the support structure for the bridge contains glue up traverses, freeclimbing lead routes and aid climbs.

Directions

Exit 405 Freeway at Harbor Boulevard. Head south. Turn right on Gisler (first street you come to). Make a second right onto Minnesota, then a left on California. Go to the end of the road to a small park. From the park, hike over an embankment and down into the river bed. *(If someone goes down here, send us better info and photos if you can. Email us for submission details.)
